PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a preventing and treating agent for infectious disease of crustaceans and fishes capable of replacing an antibiotic, having safe and excellent effect and useful for prevention and treatment of infectious disease of Rod shaped virus-Penaeus japonicus of Penaeus japonicus, etc., by using an oligosaccharide as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: This preventing and treating agent for infectious disease of crustaceans and fishes includes an oligosaccharide without lactulose as an active ingredient. A fructo-oligosaccharide, a galacto-oligosaccharide, a xylo- oligosacharide are preferably used as the oligosaccharide. The oligosaccharide is preferably administrated in a daily dose of 1-300mg/kg body weight in 2-3 divided potions in terms of the dried oligosaccharide and is preferably added to, mixed with and wetted with a feed in 0.01-5wt.% based on the total feed. The preventing and treating agent is effective for yellow heading of Penaeus monodon, Vibrio infectious disease of Penaeus monodon, Vibrio infectious disease of Penaeus japonicus, etc. |
