PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a carotenoid composition by which the dispersable carotenoid or a material powder is produced without using an organic solvent and a solubilizing oil. SOLUTION: This method for producing a carotenoid composition is a method for producing a material powder (having 0.1-0.5μm average particle diameter) and performed by heating and melting a slurry containing a 0.1-6wt.% surfactant, homogenizing the obtained slurry under 96.6-2,759 bar (1,400-40,000psi) pressure to produce a powder particle and drying the homogenized slurry to obtain the solid powder particle. |
