PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject medicine capable of suppressing synthesis of a specific heat shock protein and suppressing collagen synthesis in organs and enabling treatment of diseases such as hepatocirrhosis or interstitial lung disease by including shikonin as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: This medicine contains shikonin as an active ingredient. Shikonin is included in a crude medicine such as shikon. Shikon extract can be obtained by extracting shikon with water (e.g. cold water, warm water or hot water) or an organic solvent. Thereby, since heat shock protein having 47K dalton molecular weight in the cell is specifically suppressed and biosynthesis of collagen is suppressed, production of extracellular matrix is suppressed and the medicine can be used for prevention and treatment of hepatocirrhosis or interstitial lung disease.
