<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To integrate a return spring constituting a spring mechanism with a primary/secondary piston. SOLUTION: In this master cylinder a cylinder housing 1 is constructed of a body main body 2 and a cap 3, and the first piston 6 and the second piston 7, which are guided by means of a sleeve 8 fitted in the cylinder housing l, are arranged slidably, while the first pressure chamber 9 and the second pressure chamber 10, in which spring mechanisms 11, 12 energizing the first piston 6 and the second piston 7 backward are arranged, are formed. Recess parts 6a, 7a whose tips are opened are formed on the front faces of the first piston 6 and the second piston 7 individually, while an expanded diameter groove or recess grooves 6c, 7c are arranged by the circumferential edges of the recess parts 6a, 7a in the vicinities of their bottom faces, and diameter expanded parts 36a, 37a formed in the outer circumferences of return springs 36, 37 in the spring mechanisms 11, 12 are engaged inside the diameter expanded groove or the recess grooves 6c, 7c.</p> |
