PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seedling-raising pot comprising a biodegradable resin and a filler, having many specific holes in the bottom, capable of preventing the deterioration in the strength of the pot, enabling to transplant the seedling together with the seedling-raising pot, and large in the biodegradation speed of the seedling-raising pot. SOLUTION: This pot for raising a seedling comprises 100 pts.wt. of a biodegradable resin such as poly 3-hydroxybutyric acid, 3-hydroxybutyric acid-3- hydroxyvaleric acid copolymer or a polylactic acid ester and 10-150 pts.wt. of a filler, such as calcium carbonate or glass balloons, preferably having an average particle diameter of 0.1-100μm. The pot has many holes each having a hole diameter of 0.2-100mm<2> , preferably 3-70mm<2> , and has a bottom part porosity of 30-90%, preferably 50-90%. The seedling can extend its roots into soil through the holes.
