<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the rapid decomposition of org. matter by disposing a magnetic separating means for separating the activated sludge in raw water right above the water surface of the raw water 7 in a tank body with a device for decomposing org. matter by mixing the activated sludge possessing magnetic powder and the raw water and blowing air therein. SOLUTION: When the raw water 7, such as sewage and waste water, is first introduced into a settling base 8, the mud, dust, etc., in the raw water 7 are settled and removed and are sent to a sludge treating device 9. On the other hand, the raw water 7 is next set to the tank body 1. The activated sludge flocs with the magnetic powder which are the flocs of the microorganisms magnetized by the magnetic powder are subjected to aeration by a blower 11 and the org. matter, etc., in the raw water 7 are oxidation decomposed. The liquid in the tank body 1 flows to the upper side of a flow passage 3 and the activated sludge flocs with the magnetic powder are magnetized and separated by the permanent magnet in the rotary drum 2b of the magnetic separating means 2. The flocs magnetized on the rotary drum 2b are scraped by a scraper 4 and are dropped onto a return path 5.</p> |
