The support fitting (10), for temporarily securing two window frames (3,4) together using a frame support part of this support, contains an approx. pear-shaped cavity (8a) into which a snap-fit part (10b) is inserted, leaving the area in the plane of the support around this part unhindered. The part may be divided into two approx. same size pieces by a central slot (10c).
