PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide text overlay to compression area video images for a multi- media communication system. SOLUTION: In a compression area, in overlaying a message on a video image, the video image is expressed as a compressed and digitized video bit stream. The message forms a digitized, compressed and encoded message. The encoded message is connected with the compressed and digitized video bit stream and an output video bit stream for expressing the video image with a message overlag is generated. The message comprises a text (document), alphanumerics, numerals, condition indexes, symbols or icons. |
