摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize an engine brake effectively and improve an operability by setting a descending slope control mode at the acceleration off state and the detecting time of a descending slope traveling and prohibitting the release of the descending slope control mode until the descending slope traveling is finished by a control means. SOLUTION: In an electronic control device ECU3, a speed change control part 5 controls the operation of an automatic transmission 1. In other words, the speed change control part 5 controls a shift change and lockup by outputting a signal for driving a hydraulic control device installed in the automatic transmission 1. A descending slope control part 7 sets/releases a descending slope control mode based on an input information. When the descending slope control mode is set, a shift to a fourth speed by the speed change control part 5 is prohibitted. A descending slope judging part 9 judges in a real time whether a road in traveling is a descending slope road or not based on the input information. Therefor, a reference acceleration map 11 is installed.
