PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time needed for route searching operation up to a destination, and reduce the data storage capacity required for the route search on a navigation device side. SOLUTION: When a driver inputs a destination by voice, a navigation device 1 searches for a temporary route extending to the destination on the basis of information on a part information on the destination. An information provision station 2 once receiving the destination sent from the navigation device 1 searches a final route up to the destination by using the whole information on the received destination and sends the search result to the navigation device 1. The navigation device 1 gives a route guidance to the vehicle by using the temporary route that the device itself searched for and the current position of the vehicle, and then guides the course guidance to the vehicle based upon the received search result and the current position of the vehicle after receiving the final route from the information provision station 2. |
