PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance sensitivity and rapid processing property of the sensitive material. SOLUTION: At least one of silver halide emulsion layers has a coated silver amount of <=2.0g/m<2> on one side and it contains flat silver halide grains in >=50% of the projection areas of the total silver halide grains and these flat grains have an average aspect ratio of >=5 and a thickness of <=0.1μm and each a projection part having an epitaxial junction part.
