PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system which has a mechanism that enables out-of-order instruction execution. SOLUTION: The information processing unit 100 has an instruction unit 110, one or a plurality of execution units, a memory management unit 1 which is connected to the instruction unit 110 and a memory system, a cache memory for one or a plurality of levels relating to the execution units, one or a plurality of I/O controllers which are connected to the execution units, memory system, and cache memory and control an I/O device, and a completion unit which traces the order of instruction dispatching and instruction completion. The completion unit has a content address register buffer allocation table, a register state table, an instruction queue, and a completion table so as to control the execution of instruction and the order of completion in order depending upon the use possibility of an operand. |
