摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately specify the shape, position, etc., of an object by reading out the coordinate value of a measuring position angle of an infrared camera by adding a specific code when the measuring position angle is specific and correcting distortion in the distortion correcting area of an object based on the read measuring position angle. SOLUTION: When an object 1 is photographed by the infrared camera 2, distortion correction is started. A thermal image is stored in a storage device 5 such as a floppy disk(FD). In this case, a coordinate system setting a reference position angle as an origin is set up and the coordinate value of the positional angle of a camera head 2a in the camera 2 which is measured when the object 1 is practically photographed is found out from the origin of the coordinate system. When the camera 2 belongs to the 1st quadrant of the coordinate system, a (+, +) mark is added to the measuring position angle and (-, +), (-,-) and (+,-) marks are similarly added to the measuring position angle corresponding respectively to the 2nd, 3rd and 4th quadrants. Then distortion in the distortion correcting area of the object is corrected in accordance with the read measuring position angle.
