PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To immediately stop a carriage when speed of a carriage motor in an image input-output device is abnormal. SOLUTION: The speed of a carriage motor is detected step by step, using an encoder sensor 20 and an interval timer 23. these speed data are inputted in a last timer value holding register 28 and a twice-before timer value holding register 29. A calculating device 30 estimates a present speed range from the past speed change of the carriage motor. If the speed of the present carriage motor exceeds an estimated range, the control of the carriage motor is judged to be abnormal, this forcibly stopping it. |
