PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a KANJI (Chinese character) input device which enables retrieving KANJI desired to retrieve if a user knows its part of speech, radical, total number of the strokes or either of phonetical reading or Japanese reading and reduces the number of the candidates of retrieving KANJI data by retrieving each dictionary and leaving common KANJI to make them common, by adding a part of speech input means. SOLUTION: When the 'kan' of the input by phonetical and Japanese readings and the 'noun' of the input by the part of speech, etc., are respectively inputted from the ponetical and Japanese reading inputting means 14 and the part of speech inputting means 11 of a KANJI input part 1, this data is inputted to a selection part 4 through a buffer part 3. The selection part 4 executes the retrieving operation of the phonetical and Japanese reading dictionary 24 and the part of speech dictionary 21 of a dictionary part 2 and the processing of leaving only the common characters of respective candidate KANJI. Then these character KANJI are displayed on a display part 6 through a display control part 5. |
