PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute site diversity to a mobile station during soft handover and to execute selective synthesis of a receiving signal in low delay in a mobile communication exchange in a mobile communication system which performs ATM transmission of data transfer between a base station and a mobile communication exchange. SOLUTION: After receiving data which is transmitted from base stations 111, 112,..., 11n to a mobile communication exchange 12 in layered cells is received by an ATM cell receiving means 1201, 1202,..., 120n, the receiving data is decomposed into short cells in short cell converting means 1211, 1212,..., 121n. After a short cell header is converted into a mobile station identifying ID in a UCI interpreting means 122, short cells which include receiving data that is during soft handover from a mobile station are divided in a dividing means 123. After short cells which include receiving data of every user are made to obtain these short cells by a frame sorting means 124, the short cells are transmitted to frame selecting means 1251, 1252,..., 125m, and receiving data which has larger likelihood is selected. |
