<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin compsn. for a toner excellent in surface smoothness, transparency and resin strength without deteriorating anti-offsetting property, fixability, and stability and suitable for use as a high resolution full-color toner as well as a monocolor toner and a toner. SOLUTION: This resin compsn. for a toner contains a resin obtd. by incorporating 0.1-10wt.% crosslinking agent having >=10 carbon atoms in one molecule into a vinyl copolymer and crosslinking the copolymer. The copolymer consists of a styrene monomer and a (meth)acrylic ester monomer and has the peak of mol.wt. by gel permeation chromatography in the range of 3×10<3> -3×10<4> . In the mol.wt. distribution of the copolymer, a part whose mol.wt. is <=100,000 accounts for >=70wt.%.</p> |
