<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a melted for producing a toner for developing an electrostatic charge image having a narrow particle size distribution by an easy operation without carrying out classification while using an arbitrary bonding resin contg. a polymer which cannot be pulverized so far, and a toner obtained by the same method. SOLUTION: A bonding resin and a colorant are added to an org. solvent having >100 deg.C b.p. and they are mixed. The resultant liq. mixture is dispersed and suspended in an aq. medium in the presence of an inorg. dispersant coated with a polymer having carboxyl groups. Part of the org. solvent is removed from the resultant suspension by heating or under reduced pressure, a solvent soluble in both the org. solvent and water is added and the org. solvent is removed from formed particles to produce the objective toner for developing an electrostatic charge image.</p> |
