<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder which can freely multiplex a character signal representing a date with a video signal and can surely obtain date information by recording the video signal and an additional information signal in a recording medium. SOLUTION: The output of a time code generator 4 is supplied to a data encoder 8 together with the output code of an ID signal generator for respective modes identification 9, which follows the operation of an operation switch 26. The signal of a frequency f6 generated by a pilot signal 11 is switched in a gate circuit 12 by using the output of a coder 8. The output of the circuit 12 is overlapped with a signal obtained by trapping 17 an f6 component in the signal following a prescribed format in an adder 18. A recording signal which is thus generated is amplified by a recording amplifier 19 and is recorded while a recording track is formed on a tape by two rotary heads 20-a and 20-b different in azimuth angles through a switch 24 which is changed over by the 30PG pulse of a frame period.</p> |
