COATING TUBE FOR BRANCH JOINT OF ELECTRIC WIRE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture at a low cost a coating tube for branch joint of an electric wire which can exhibit superior sealing property to a main wire and branch wire by providing PSTs at opened ends. SOLUTION: A coating tube 10 has seal sections 14a and 14b at the three opened ends of a flexible sleeve section 12. The seal section 14a for main wire is composed of a first elastic element 16 which is integrally extended from the sleeve section 12, a second elastic element 18 which is arranged on the inside of the element 16, and a removable core element 20 which holds the elements 16 and 18 in elastically expandable states. The seal section 14b for branch wire is composed of a tube element 22 integrally extended from the sleeve section 12 and a removably core element 24 which holds the element 22 in an elastically expandable state. The second elastic element 18 is made of an expensive elastomer having a smaller elongation set than the first elastic element 16 and the sleeve section 12, first elastic element 16, and tube element 22 are made of an inexpensive elastomer.
