PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording device capable of reproducing a jam cause by memorizing the state when a jam occurs regardless of the action taken by a user after the jam occurs and provide a reproducing method for the jam cause. SOLUTION: When a paper discharge sensor, a pre-registration sensor, a fixing paper discharge sensor, an inversion sensor, a both-face sensor, and a face-down paper discharge sensor detect the paper, a CPU 102 judges as a jam and stores the print state and condition at the time of the jam in a nonvolatile memory 106. When an instruction to display the print state and condition at the time of the jam is given to the CPU 102, they are displayed at the display section of an operation panel 103. When an instruction to test- print the print state and condition at the time of jam is given to the CPU 102, test printing is implemented. |
