FORMING METHOD FOR COLOR PATTERN HAVING BLACK MATRIX

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably form a fine multicolored pattern having excellent long-term performance with a small number of processes by forming a black matrix by a laser ablation method and forming a color coating film into a pattern by a pattern electrodeposition method. SOLUTION: A black coating film 3 is formed on a substrate 1 having a transparent electrode 2 in a stripe pattern on its surface. The black coating film 3 is removed to form a black matrix 3 by a laser ablation method by irradiating the film with laser light according to the pattern in such a manner that the black coating film 3 remains as a grating on the substrate 1 and that the part between transparent electrodes where no transparent electrode 2 is present is coated with the black coating film 3. Then color electrodeposition coating materials of different colors are applied by electrodeposition coating on a desired transparent electrode 2 on the substrate to form color coating films 4-6. Thereby, a color pattern comprising the black matrix 3 and color coating films 4-6 is formed on the substrate 1.
