PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the degree of freedom of design and confirm a light emitting condition of a light source, wherein a light wave guide member which allows light to pass therethrough from one end to the other end thereof is provided for leading light emitted from the light source to the outside of an air cleaner. SOLUTION: On an operating panel 31 of an air cleaner, a plurality of switches for operating the air cleaner and a plurality of light emitting elements such as light emitting diodes which indicate operation conditions of the air cleaner are mounted. An opening 31a is formed in the operating panel 31 and one end of a light wave guide 30 is disposed in the opening 31a such that this one end passes through the opening 31a from a chamber 16. This one end of the light wave guide 30 works as an indicating portion which indicates a light emitting condition of a light source 24. To make it apparent that one end of the light wave guide 30 is employed as the indicating portion, an indication 'a light beam monitor' is labeled on a front portion of the operating panel 31 in the vicinity of the opening 31a. Due to such a construction, the degree of freedom of design is increased and the light emitting condition of the light source 24 can be confirmed. |
