PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the fact that an operation using a line of sight selecting function is not executed while a camera is used by providing a control means for temporarily turning off the control of various kinds of functions of the camera through the use of the output of a line of sight detecting means. SOLUTION: The line of sight detecting means is constituted of a driving circuit 3, an image sensor 4, an iRED group 5, an MPU 1 and a memory 2 and an image signal obtained from the image sensor 4 is calculated to obtain the line of sight of a photographer. Then, the MPU 1 checks whether the control of various kinds of operations of the camera by using a line of sight detecting function is set in a mode or not and the mode in which the control of various kinds of operations of the camera by using the line of sight detecting function is not transiently executed is provided. Thus, at the time of asking a stranger to take a photograph such as a commemorative photograph in a sightseeing area, the control of various kinds of functions of the camera by the line of sight detecting function is turned off to ask the stranger to take the photograph. After that, photographing by the turning on of the control of various kinds of operations of the camera, through the use of the line of sight detecting function is executed again without any special operation. |
