PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process cartridge and image forming device capable of ensuring the reliability of the contents of the memory of a storage element even in the case the process cartridge is recycled. SOLUTION: The process cartridge 6 integrates a photoreceptive drum 2, charge roller 3, and cleaning blade 4, all of which are its component parts, and it is free to be attached/detached to/from the main body 7 of the image forming device via an attaching guide means 80. The cartridge 6 is further equipped with the nonvolatile storage element 15, into which information, for example, on the life of each composing element of the cartridge 6 is stored, and, in addition, the number of times that the information is written into the element itself. To judge from the information on the lives of the composing elements whether the cartridge 6 can be recycled or not, while the reliability of the life information is ensured by referring to the number of times that the information is written into the element, its possiblity/imposibility is judged. |
