PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make possible always displaying a video on a whole screen without blank and projection by periodically changing a pulse of a vertical scan start signal and the number of pulses of a clock signal generated synchronized with respective horizontal synchronizing pulses and supplied to a gate driver and performing an expansion display. SOLUTION: When a video signal of y rows for the number of liquid crystal panel display rows Y is display expanded to Y rows, when Y÷y isn't an integer, when a start pulse VSP is inputted to a gate driver 3, two pieces of pulses are inputted as the clock pulse VCLK of the gate driver 3, and two rows that the outputs of the gate driver are continued are selected. Thereafter, the pulse is inputted at every a time t÷a dividing a transfer time (t) per one row of the video signal by (a) when the mixed fraction of the Y÷y is shown as a(c/b) as the VCLK. For interpolating a Y-y×a row much, two pieces of pulses are inputted continuously as the clock pulse VCLK of the gate driver in the ratio of (c) times in a×b times, and the expansion display is performed.
