The heat sensitive recording support comprises a reversible heat sensitive recording layer. This layer comprises a reversible heat sensitive colouring composition which contains a colouring compound emitting electrons and an electron receiving compound. The layer may take a coloured state or an uncoloured state, by adjusting the thermal energy applied to the colouring composition or the speed of cooling the colouring composition after applying heat energy to the composition. An intermediate layer is formed on the reversible heat sensitive recording layer. A protective layer is formed on the intermediate layer. A layer amongst the intermediate and protective layers contains a material in the form of a mineral pigment having a particle diameter less than or equal to 100mm. The pigment material has an absorption peak in the range of wavelengths less than or equal to 400nm. The mineral pigment is chosen from a group which has an absorption peak in the range of wavelengths of ultraviolet radiation (A) and a mineral pigment with an absorption peak in the wavelength range less than the ultraviolet radiation, this pigment being called mineral pigment B.
