PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electric-type stepless transmission which is always operated in an optimum gear ratio, by arbitrarily controlling a speed difference and a torque difference between an input shaft and an output shaft. SOLUTION: An electric-type stepless transmission is provided with a main inverter 14 for controlling the torque of a main motor 12 which has two rotors connected to an input shaft and an output shaft respectively, an auxiliary inverter 15 for controlling the torque of an auxiliary motor 13 which applies torque to the output shaft, and a gear ratio computing part 22 for computing an optimum gear ratio with respect to an operation command applied from the outside, and controls the main inverter 14 and the auxiliary inverter 15, based on a signal obtained by the gear ratio computing part 22 to drive them at an optimum operating point. At that time, power generated by a speed difference between the two rotors of the main motor 12 is converted into DC by the main inverter 14 and its energy is converted from the auxiliary inverter 15 into the torque of the auxiliary motor 13. It is thus possible to attain a speed-changing function with an electrically arbitrary gear ratio. |
