摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent useless transmission of state information and to reduce the load on a server machine by sending request data related to updated state information to a client terminal and transmitting the state information directly from a client terminal to another client terminal. SOLUTION: A presence state information managing part 12 in the server machine 10 receives a request from a client terminal A20, extracts the presence state information of all registered reference parties including a user for a client terminal B30 from a presence state managing table 11 and sends the extracted information to an opposite party state displaying part 22 in the terminal A20. Own state setting part 31 in the terminal B30 selects a user to be informed of the updating of a presence state based on the request data sent from the machine 10 and the presence state information of a user for the terminal B30 is sent to the display part 22 in the terminal A20.
