PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device in which noise sound and vibration of the device are suppressed by applying a low speed read operation to a read means such as a scanner so as to attain image reading with high accuracy. SOLUTION: A color scanner 3 is used to read an image of an original while being decomposed into BGR signals simultaneously and a storage device 5c stores the BGR signals read by the color scanner 3 and a write unit 20 forms an image onto a photoreceptor drum 30 based on the BGR signals read by the color scanner 3 or stored in the storage device 5c. Then an intermediate transfer unit and a transfer unit 56 transfer the image formed on the photoreceptor drum 30 onto recording paper.
