<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the circuit constitution and to reduce the size of a matrix multiplier by giving the product data selected from the same accumulation selection means to an accumulation means having an equal array of absolute value of the column or row multiplication constants of a constant matrix used for an arithmetic operation. SOLUTION: The coefficient element X of a coefficient matrix is given to an accumulation selector 43, and an intermediate result accumulation circuit 47 gives every multiplication element, i.e., the product data on a multiplication transposed matrix to the selector 43. The selector 43 successively leads the element X or every multiplication element of the multiplication transposed matrix to a matrix multiplier 45 based on the control signal given from a control circuit 44. Then every multiplication constant given from a constant storage circuit 46 is given to the multiplier 45 in addition to the matrix elements given from the selector 43. Thus, the multiplier 45 performs an operation to multiply the matrix given from the selector 43 by a constant matrix from the back. As a result, the circuit constitution is simplified and the size of a matrix multiplier can be reduced.</p> |
