PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a mounting of a filter element irrespective of a kind and size of a ventilator or a range hood, wherein a plurality of filter mounting pieces can be readily mounted on a periphery of an exhaust opening in a spaced- apart manner and each filter mounting piece is provided with a large number of hook-shaped protrusions which can be engaged with a peripheral portion of the filter element having an area which can wholly cover the exhaust opening. SOLUTION: A plurality of filter mounting pieces 14 are mounted on a periphery of an exhaust opening 13 of a range hood 12. Each filter mounting piece 14 is provided with a magnet at the center thereof and a large number of hook- shaped protrusions 18 on a surface side thereof. An incombustible nonwoven fabric 11 which works as a filter element can be mounted on the periphery of the exhaust opening 13 by making the hook-shaped protrusions 18 engage with the fabric 11. Due to such a construction, the filter element can be mounted on any ventilator or range hood irrespective of its shape. Furthermore, since the replacement of the filter requires only the replacement of the filter element, it is economical. |
