PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the correct connection of paragraphs even in a document that has a complicated multiple column by deciding the connection order of paragraphs based on the analysis result of an analysis processing means, storing the data showing the connection order of every paragraph and carrying out the document processing to the character strings which are continuous in the stored connection order of paragraphs. SOLUTION: A paragraph connection destination retrieval part 24 selects the candidate of the paragraph to be connected next to a certain paragraph out of plural paragraphs which are extracted by a paragraph extraction part 14. An analysis part 18 connects the head character string of the selected paragraph to the end character string of a certain paragraph to generate the continuous character strings and then performs the analysis to decide the propriety of connection of the character strings. Based on this analysis result, a connection decision part 26 decides the connection order of paragraphs. The data showing the connection order of every paragraph are stored in a paragraph information data storage part 16, and the document processing is carried out to the character strings which are continuous in the stored connection order of paragraphs. Thus, the correct connection of paragraphs is secured even in a document that has a complicated multiple column. |
