摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance high picture quality at the time of multipicture display by correcting suitable video signals while taking out attenuation data preliminarily prepared based on the average luminance data of the video signal of the respective display panel part at every display panel and maximum average luminance data in every display panel to reduce luminance unevenesses. SOLUTION: An average luminance of respective values of R, G, B calculated by an average luminance calculating part 1 is accumulated in a number of digit reducing part 2 every zone to be divided by a prescribed constant and the number of digits is converted into four digits or the like. A respective panel luminance detecting part 3 calculates the luminance value of a self panel by detecting the accumulated luminance value of the respective display panel part from the output of the number of digit reducing part 2. Besides, a maximum value detecting part 4 detects the accumulated value of maximum zones. An integration processing part 6 integrates addresses generated by an address generating part 5 for prescribed field periods to suppress the large change of the address. An arithmetic part 8 performs the multiplying calculation of an attenuation coefficient by reading out the attenuation coefficient from a ROM with respect to the video signal suitable for the part of the respective display panel while using an integrally processed address.
