PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability of the image display system by instructing the execution of various processing by pointing an image, etc., projected on a screen with a pointer. SOLUTION: A computer 300 projects an image on the screen 100 through a projector 10. This image includes a color menu having color buttons 12a-12e to which a predetermined processing is assigned. When one color button is indicated with the pointer 200, an optical sensor built in the pointer 200 acquires light quantity ratio information indicating the color of the color button. The light quantity ratio information is sent by a transmission part 207 and inputted to the computer 300 through a reception part 305. The computer 300 recognizes the indicated color button on the basis of the received light quantity ratio information and executes the processing (screen operation such as page turning) made to correspond to the color button.
