PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent rain from entering a room by constructing a ventilation device such that a ventilator mounting hole formed in an indoor side of the main frame and a grill mounting hole formed in an outdoor side of the main frame are offset from each other. SOLUTION: A wooden frame 22 having a rectangular sleeve shape is fitted into an opening portion which is formed in a room wall 21 so as to communicate the indoor with the outdoor. A main frame 23 is fitted into the opening portion and is fastened and fixedly secured to the wooden frame 22 by means of wood screws 24. An indoor side 2 of the main frame 23 is covered with an indoor-side side plate 25 having a ventilator mounting hole 30 which has a cross sectional area slightly larger than an opening area of the main frame 23, while an outdoor side 3 of the main from 23 is covered with an outdoor-side side plate 27 having a grill mounting opening. A grill 32 is replaceably mounted on the grill mounting opening, while a ventilator 29 is mounted on the ventilator mounting hole 30. The ventilator 29 and the grill 32 are offset from each other vertically. Due to such a construction, it becomes possible to prevent rain from entering the room. |
