PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a connector as never floating up from a substrate even if some careless force is applied thereto when the counterpart connection plug is inserted in or drawn out of a plug socket by providing a socket shield with its particular constitution in the case of an electric connector provided with a socket shield for surrounding the main body, plural connector pins and the whole of them. SOLUTION: The article related to the present invention is an electric connector 10 provided with a main body 11 formed of mold resin, plural connector pins 12 arranged on the front side of the main body 11 sideways in line and bent downward at the rear side, projected downward through a socket shield 13 from the bottom surface of the main body 11, and at the time of actual mounting, made to penetrate the through-hole of an actual mounting substrate 14 and extending in parallel, and provided with a socket shield 13 formed of a sheet metal having two substrate fixing claws 13a for surrounding upper and lower and both side surfaces of the main body 11 and projecting from both sides of the bottom surface on the back side. This socket shield 13 is provided, on the lower surface of its front region, with an engaging piece 15 projected downward from the center, and making engagement with the actual mounting substrate 14 at the time of actual mounting. |
