Deposit collectors; bulbs; leading - in wires.-The concentrated filament of projection-lamp bulbs &c. is attached to parallel current-conducting wires arranged close together so that in a determined position of the bulb they provide a guiding effect on the heated gases to cause vaporized molecules from the filament to be carried away to deposit on unimportant parts of the bulb. In the construction shown in Fig. 1, the conductors 3 are arranged away from but parallel to the axis of the bulb, so that the gases heated by the filament 2 are guided by the hot wires, rise to the top and deposit the vaporized molecules, and descend on the other side of the bulb. In the construction shown in Fig. 3, the conductors 12, 13 and the filament 11 are arranged centrally in a narrow tube 18 which has a spherical enlargement 19 at the top to receive the deposits. |
