PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new image communication equipment capable of the partial magnification display of images on a reception side while background images are kept being sent without inviting the increase of a transmission capacity. SOLUTION: This equipment is provided with a camera 3 for photographing the background images within a specified view field, converting them to image signals and outputting them, an area specifying means 5 for coordinate-specifying an optional area within the specified view field, a transmission line 7 for transmitting at least the image signals, an extraction means 10 for extracting the images of the area from the image signals in the case that the area is specified by the area specifying means 5, an image magnifying means 11 for performing the magnification processing of the images extracted by the extraction means 10 and a display means 13 for displaying the image signals transmitted by the transmission line 7 and the images magnified by the image magnifying means 11. Since it is sufficient that the transmission line 7 transmits only the coordinate information of the optional area in addition to the image signals to the maximum and the coordinate information is far less capacity compared to image information, the substantial increase of the transmission capacity is not invited. |
