<p>A liquid crystal display having a pair of substrates (1, 2) disposed in an opposed state, and a semiconductor element (12) bonded directly to a surface of the substrate (1), the portion of the surface of the semiconductor element (12) which is other than an active surface (12a) being covered with a light shielding member (16). Since the light shielding member (16) completely shuts off the light radiating from the upper surface and side surfaces of the semiconductor element (12) and bonded surface between the semiconductor element (12) and substrate (1), an erroneous operation of the semiconductor element (12) can be prevented.</p> |
