Vehicle protection system against landmines

The protective system has a deflector (10) attached to the underside of the vehicle (1). A free space is formed between the deflector (10) and the underside of the vehicle (1). At least one chamber (22), which can be filled with a gas generator (20), is arranged in the free space to support the deflector (10) from inside. Preferably the deflector (10) is attached to the underside of the vehicle (1) by frangible connections, and a sensor may be attached to the deflector (10) to activate the gas generator (20). There may be discharge openings arranged in the chamber (22).
