<p>A blow-molded plastic container (10) having a separately formed and permanently attached handle (14). The container (10) has a blow-molded body portion (12) with an inwardly set recess (36). An elongate plastic handle (14) is attached to the sidewall (24) of the container (10) such that it spans across the recess (36) in spaced relation. The handle (14) has a grip portion (56) and opposite ends which are secured to the body portion (12) by welding techniques. The recess (36) has a vacuum flex panel (38) to accommodate changes resulting from hot-fill processing.</p> |
