The work table has peripheral reception groove around the edge of the work table surface, with a ramp (11) fitted into the groove at one or more points, providing an inclined surface extending between the base of the groove and the level of the work table surface. Pref. the ramp is fitted into the groove at a corner edge (5) of the work table has inclined surfaces extending on either side at 90 degrees to one another.
