The wheel chair comprises a seat positioned on a compact chassis (11) which has a central support plate across the direction of travel. A bearing bracket (22) has a bearing roller for the bearing of the front bearing pins (13) and on the other side laterally protruding bearing pins for attaching links (30) for guiding the rear drive wheels (12). The front steering rollers are mounted so as to move on vertical axes by the bearing bracket which has support arms fixed apart from the central support plate, and joined to it.
