<p>A process for producing 2-amino-6-iodopurine readily and industrially advantageously by suspending at least one chloropurine compound selected among 2-formylamino-6-chloropurine, its acetate and 2-amino-6-chloropurine in a solution of a mixture of aqueous hydriodic acid with an alkyl ketone bearing 3 to 7 carbon atoms and stirring the suspension at 0 to 50 °C.</p> |
