<p>The method involves defining a threshold representing a minimum fill level in a reservoir container (10) or in each one of several reservoir containers. A signal is automatically triggered to order one or more full reservoir containers when the level falls below the threshold. The order signal is automatically transmitted to an organisation (3) which is responsible for the supply of containers. The organisation replaces the container for which the signal has been generated. Preferably, the signal is transmitted via a telephone line (30).</p>
