Resin compsn. for composite material

This improved resin compsn. for a composite material comprises the indispensable ingredients (A) and (B). (A) is a mixt. of three kinds of bismaleimides, N,N'-triphenyl methane-bismaleimide (40-50 wt.%), N,N'-trilenebismaleimide (10-45 wt.%) and N,N'-trimethylhexa- methylenemaleimide (5-35 wt.%). (B) is an allyl-etherified substituted phenolic novolak resin and/or an allyl ether cpd. represented by general formula (I), where X is a direct bond, -CH2-, -C(CH3)2, -O-, -S-, -SO2-, or a gp. of formula (i) or (ii); R1-R4 are -CH3, -C2H5, -CH(CH3)2, -nC3H7, -nC4H9, -C(CH3)3, -CH(CH3)-nC2H5, CH2CH(CH3)2 or Br independently. The ratio of the number of double bonds in (A) to that in (B) is 2 or less. The reinforcing material for the composite material is carbon fibre.
