PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attaching structure of a jack wherein the jack is free from coming off from a printed circuit board due to external force applied to the jack by insertion/extraction, etc., of a plug and only a small packaging space is required on the printed circuit board. SOLUTION: An attaching structure of a jack has a hook 2 in the neighborhood of a plug insertion port 1-3. The hook 2 is provided with steps such as an upper step 2-1, a middle step 2-2, and a lower step 2-3 (the number of steps is arbitrary), and a printed circuit board 3 is fitted into a space formed by these steps and a bottom surface 1-4 of a jack proper. Thickness of the printed circuit board 3 can be selected among several kinds according to dimensions (a), (b) and (c), etc., formed by the respective steps. A terminal 1-2 of the jack is attached by soldering 5 to a jack packaging surface of the printed circuit board 3.
