Recovery and recycling of plastisol using a low b.pt. solvent

A process for the recycling of plastisols comprising polymer powders dispersed in a plasticiser with optionally stabilisers, fillers, and other additives and occurring as waste from coating processes onto a substrate, comprises separating the plastisol form the substrate by washing with a low boiling solvent and is separated from particulate matter and agglomerated polymer particles in a centrifugal separator. The solvent is removed by distillation and the plasticiser and stabiliser containing residue is recycled to the production process. Residual solvent is removed from the solid material which is then recycled to the production process.
