<p>The present invention relates to a method of marking objects to be identified, especially vehicles, by a hidden mark becoming visible in ultra-violet light, in which method identifying marks, especially numerals and/or letters are applied, preferably by using patterns, to the surface to be marked by a paint comprising pigments hidden in natural light but becoming visible in ultra-violet light. According to the present invention, applying of identifying marks is performed by using a paint being able to diffuse into the material of the surface to be marked, then the said surface is let rest for a period sufficient for diffusion of said paint, and thereafter, optionally, final surface handling, especially polishing is performed. Preferably, the surface to be market is preheated to a temperature between 60 and 80 °C prior to applying the said paint.</p> |
